MOVA

MOVA V70 Ultra Complete Robot Vacuum and Mop

MOVA's flagship throws an extending mop arm, retractable climbing legs and a bagless self-washing dock at the problem of edges and obstacles — and mostly wins, provided you can stomach a four-figure price and a very large base station.

4.3 / 5

Pros

  • + Articulating mop arm plus 12 cm extending side brush genuinely tackles edges and chair legs that round robots miss
  • + StepMaster 2.0 retractable legs climb up to 4.5 cm in one step and 9 cm in two — unusually capable over thresholds
  • + Bagless EcoCyclone dock with washable filter avoids ongoing bag costs, rated up to 100 days hands-free
  • + Full-fat base station: 100 °C mop washing, 70 °C hot-air drying and a dual-compartment cleaning solution dispenser
  • + Compact for a flagship — under 14 inches wide and under 9 cm tall with LiDAR retracted, so it fits under more furniture
  • + Comprehensive navigation stack with retractable DToF LiDAR, AI camera, 300+ object recognition and multi-floor mapping
  • + Large 4.0 L clean / 3.5 L waste tanks, with optional auto refill and drain kit

Cons

  • − Premium pricing across every source we have, with no consistent regional figure to judge value against
  • − Auto-emptying cycle reported as loud
  • − Base station is very large at 420 x 458 x 470 mm and demands dedicated floor space
  • − Manufacturer specs are inconsistent between sources on both suction (40,000 vs 42,000 Pa) and mop reach (16 vs 17 cm)
  • − Confusing variant split: the transparent Amazon 'X' model drops the pet cleaning solution at the same price
  • − Long-term durability of the articulating mop arm is unproven

The V70 Ultra Complete is MOVA — Dreame's sibling brand — making a statement. The headline trick is a mop pad on an articulating arm that swings out from the chassis to scrub along baseboards and around chair and stool legs, backed by a side brush that extends up to 12 cm to sweep the same awkward strips. Add StepMaster 2.0 retractable legs that can climb a 4.5 cm obstacle in one move (or up to 9 cm in two), and this is clearly aimed at homes full of thresholds, transition strips and cluttered dining areas where conventional round robots leave a visible dirty perimeter.

The rest of the package is similarly maximalist: dual anti-tangle rollers, twin rotating mops pressed down at 15 N, ultrasonic carpet detection with a 10.5 mm mop lift, retractable LiDAR paired with an RGB/AI camera trained on 300-plus objects, and a base station that washes pads with near-boiling water, dries them with 70 °C air, and dispenses two different cleaning solutions on demand. Notably, the dock is bagless with a washable filter — a genuine long-term saving versus rivals that want a proprietary bag every couple of months. At just under 14 inches wide and under 9 cm tall with the LiDAR down, it should also slide under more furniture than most flagships.

This is a machine for people with large, mixed-flooring, multi-level homes — pets, kids, hard floors that actually need scrubbing — who have already decided that a robot vacuum can be a four-figure appliance.

On paper this is close to a best-case spec sheet for a 2026 flagship, and the parts that matter most are the ones that solve real annoyances rather than chase numbers. The extending mop arm plus extending side brush is the most convincing answer yet to edge cleaning, the climbing legs meaningfully expand where the robot can go unaided, and the bagless EcoCyclone dock with a reusable filter removes a recurring consumable cost that competitors quietly rely on. The 4.0 L clean and 3.5 L waste tanks and the optional plumbing kit mean owners of big floorplans won't be refilling constantly. Independent hands-on impressions we've seen are positive — quick work of dust under a kitchen counter on max suction, and clean floors around stool legs — and one full review landed at 4.5 out of 5.

The reservations are real, though. Suction figures don't agree between sources (42,000 Pa versus 40,000 Pa), and neither does the mop arm's reach (16 cm versus 17 cm) — not a dealbreaker at this level, since both figures are far beyond what any floor actually demands, but it's sloppy marketing hygiene on a product asking for this much money. The auto-empty cycle has been called out as loud. The base station is enormous at 420 x 458 x 470 mm and needs a dedicated corner. Pricing is all over the map depending on region and retailer, and we have no single confirmed figure to judge value against — every source we have puts it firmly in premium territory. There's also a mild complication in the two variants: a white retail model that ships with a pet cleaning solution and a transparent Amazon-exclusive "X" that doesn't, despite MOVA describing them as identical and identically priced. If you have pets, buy the one with the solution.

One honest caveat on our confidence: our assessment rests on specs and third-party hands-on impressions rather than an extended in-house test, so we can't yet speak to long-term reliability, app stability, or how the articulating arm holds up after a year of daily deployment — historically the kind of moving part that fails first. Rated on what's verifiable today, it's an excellent, genuinely innovative machine with a size and price problem.

  • Buy it if you have a big, obstacle-heavy home with lots of hard flooring and want edges and chair legs actually cleaned.
  • Skip it if you live in a small flat, have mostly carpet, or don't have a discreet spot for a dock the size of a nightstand.
